Class Descriptions

Princess Plie/Broadway Babies: This class is for the younger beginner level dancers that are just starting out in the world of dance. It is designed to help them work on basic dance skills in the genres of ballet, tap, and tumbling. It is a fun, creative, up beat class that will get your small children excited about Dance. Dress code: any color leotard and tights, Pink Bloch Full Sole Ballet Shoes, Tan Capezio Tap Shoes with hair pulled up.

Tumbling: This class is set up to help dancers master acrobatic/tumbling skills of all levels. It’s designed to work on flexibility and enhance the overall ability of the dancers. Dress code: any athletic clothes that are easy to move in… i.e; tank tops sports bras, leggings, spandex, athletic shorts, with hair pulled back and up out of the dancers face

Recreational Combo Classes : This class is for those dancers that either love to dance, but are not wanting to be at the competitive level, or have never competed before but are interested. It is a laid back way for dancers to work on technique in the genres of ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, and musical theatre in a less demanding/challenging environment. Dress code: Recreational Combo 1 : leotard and tights of any color, Pink Bloch Split  Sole Ballet Shoes, Tan Capezio Tap Shoes, Skin toned Bloch Neo Flex Jazz Shoes (Optional)            Recreational Combo 2/3: leotard and tights of any color, Pink Bloch Split Sole Ballet Shoes, So Danca or Bloch Black Tap Shoes, Skin toned Bloch Neo Flex Jazz Shoes

Ballet: This class will focus on ballet terminology and technique through the execution of barre work, center, and across the floor exercises. Your dancer will have a clear understanding of body alignment, movement quality, carriage of upper body, and flexibility. Dress code: leotard, tights, ballet skirt optional. hair in a bun,  Pink Bloch Split Sole Ballet Shoes

Jazz Technique: This class will focus on jazz technique in all levels, but will also work on fast paced choreography in other genres (contemporary/lyrical). Dancers will work on skills such as leaps/jumps/turns, but will also learn how to pick up choreography and perform it quickly. Dress code: dance wear in any colors/styles.

Tap: Tap class will focus on basic to advanced tap skills.  They will also work on the history of tap and tap vocabulary. Tap has many benefits including; increasing cardiovascular conditioning, strength and flexibility of the legs and feet, tap dancers build both mental and muscle memory to be proficient in tap which helps in all areas of dance.  Dress code: Dance wear in any colors/styles and Black Tap Shoes.

Hip Hop: This class is offered in all levels and ages. It will focus on hip hop technique as well as choreography, knowledge, culture, and the exploration of individual movement.  Dress code: Any athletic/dance clothes, tennis shoes allowed (please no jeans of any kid)
