PDPA is in it's 8th season of inspiring young dancers and tumblers! We are committed to teaching children of all ages to love and appreciate all that dance and tumbling have to offer. Above all we are here to help mold your athletes into dedicated, hard working , determined and passionate people.

We offer many classes in various genres of dance. There’s a little something for dancers of all styles and levels. Broadway Babies (ages 2-3) / Princess Plie (ages 4-5)
A 1-hour class that will introduce ballet, tap, and tumbling in a fun, creative, and upbeat way that will get your children excited about dance.
Performance Opportunities: 1 dance in Christmas Show, 2 dances in the June Showcase
Attire: leotard, tights(convertible are best), pink bloch full sole leather ballet shoes, tan capezio shuffle tap shoes

Recreational Combo Classes
1.5 hours of basic ballet, tap, and jazz technique. This class is perfect for student’s that either want to dance for fun or have never competed before but are interested. Students will learn in a fun, creative environment.
Performance Opportunities: 2 dances in Christmas Show, 3 dances in the June Showcase.
Attire: leotard, tights, pink bloch split sole leather ballet shoes, Rec 1:tan capezio shuffle tap shoes Rec 2: black tie up tap shoes (bloch preferred)
View Classes

Ballet
1 hour class that will focus on terminology and technique through the execution of barre work, center, and across the floor exercises. Dancers will learn a clear understanding of body alignment, movement quality, carriage of upper body, and flexibility.
Performance Opportunities: 1 dance in Christmas Show, 1 dance in June Showcase
Attire: leotard, pink tights, ballet skirt(optional), no shorts, pink bloch split sole leather ballet shoes, hair in a bun

Jazz Technique
This class will focus on jazz technique in all levels, but will also work on fast paced choreography in other genres (contemporary/lyrical). Dancers will work on skills such as leaps/jumps/turns, but will also learn how to pick up choreography and perform it quickly.
Attire: dancewear in any color and styles, tan or black bloch neo/flex jazz shoes or sophia lucia skin toned leather pirouettes

Lyrical
Mixture of ballet, jazz, and contemporary. Lyrical portrays a story and dancers will work to connect emotionally with their music through combinations.

View Classes

Tap
Dancers will learn the history of tap and tap vocabulary while working on basic to advanced skills in a half hour weekly class. Tap has many benefits including; increasing cardiovascular conditioning, strength and flexibility of the legs, ankles, and feet. Tap dancers build both mental and muscle memory which helps in all areas of dance.
Performance Opportunities: 1 dance in Christmas Show, 1 dance in June Showcase
Attire: Any dance attire, black tie up tap shoes(bloch preferred)

Hip Hop
This class is offered in all levels and ages. It will focus on hip hop technique as well as choreography, knowledge, culture, and the exploration of individual movement.
Performance Opportunities: 1 dance in Christmas Show, 1 dance in June Showcase
Attire: any athletic dance clothes, tennis shoes, no jeans

Tumbling
This class is set up to help dancers master acrobatic/tumbling skills of all levels. It’s designed to work on flexibility and enhance the overall ability of the dancers.
Attire: form fitting tank, sports bras, spandex or athletic shorts, leotard, hair pulled back from face, no socks or shoes

Adult Hip Hop
A fun, inspiring class to learn knowledge of all styles of hip hop while also getting your body moving. This class is so much fun, everyone is so welcoming and fun to be around.
Attire: any athletic wear and tennis shoes

Pointe
Students will be invited to pointe once all teachers have discussed and reviewed their readiness. Pointe invites will go out at the beginning of each season.
Performance Opportunities: 1 dance in the Christmas Show, 1 dance in the June Showcase
Attire: leotard, pink tights, ballet skirt(optional), pointe shoes, hair in bun

Cheer
This class will focus on motions, jumps, cheers, chants, dance, and stunting basics. If you cheer for your school this is a great way to sharpen up your skills and learn new tricks.
Attire: form fitting tank, sports bras, spandex or athletic shorts, tennis shoes
View Classes

Contemporary
Includes several genres such as, modern, jazz, lyrical and classical ballet. Dancers will use versatility and improvisation while focusing on floorwork, using gravity to pull them down to the floor. Combinations can be used with all types of music.
Attire: dancewear in any color and styles, no shoes
View Classes

Musical Theatre
Any style of dance from a Broadway, Movie or Television Show. Dancers will tap into their acting skills and learn the history of different musical theater shows.
